Key Differences

Unlike traditional diesel, our renewable diesel is achieved by inclusion of an additive system, which chemically reduces NOx (to N2) in the exhaust gases, whilst oxidising incomplete combustion products (such as HC, PM and CO). The outcome is colourless and odourless fuel that is chemically composed like fossil diesel.

Traditional HVO, on the other hand, is produced by esterifying vegetable oils or fats, which process eliminates the use of raw materials, such as waste and residues.

While both fuels help replace fossil fuels with renewables, reducing global climate emissions, only Green D+ HVO is used in high concentrations, and as a single product in all diesel engines.
